CORBOBO vs TECKNET Specs
Switch technology
CORBOBO uses Hall Effect magnetic switches, which eliminate physical contact for actuation. This design prevents wear and tear while allowing for precise, consistent triggers. The rapid trigger feature offers a 0.02mm step distance, ideal for fast-paced FPS games like Valorant or CS2. TECKNET relies on classic volcano mechanical switches. These provide traditional tactile feedback and are rated for 50 million keystrokes. While reliable, they lack the adjustable actuation points and speed advantages of magnetic sensors. If you prioritize raw speed and modern gaming performance, CORBOBO’s magnetic tech is superior. TECKNET offers a standard mechanical experience.
Form factor
CORBOBO features a compact 60% layout, measuring 11 inches in length and 5 inches in width. This design saves significant desk space, making it ideal for travel or small setups. TECKNET uses a full-sized layout, measuring 17 inches long and 7 inches wide. This provides a complete numpad and arrow keys, which are essential for data entry or office work. The TECKNET keyboard also includes an ergonomic 7-degree angle and an integrated wrist rest for comfort. CORBOBO lacks these ergonomic features in its data. Choose CORBOBO for portability and space saving. Choose TECKNET for full functionality and ergonomic support.
Hot-swap support
CORBOBO supports hot-swappable switches, allowing you to change switches without soldering. This feature lets you customize your typing feel or repair the keyboard easily by swapping out individual switches. TECKNET does not list hot-swap support in its specifications. This means you cannot easily replace switches if they fail or if you want to try different tactile profiles. The CORBOBO Aula WIN60 HE offers greater flexibility for enthusiasts who want to tweak their hardware. TECKNET is a fixed configuration, limiting customization options for users who prefer to modify their input devices.
Keycap material
CORBOBO uses PBT keycaps, which are known for their durability and resistance to shine over time. PBT plastic has a textured feel that resists oil from your fingers better than ABS. TECKNET uses ABS plastic keycaps. ABS is generally smoother but tends to develop a shiny surface with heavy use. It may also wear down faster than PBT under intense typing or gaming sessions. For long-term durability and a consistent tactile experience, CORBOBO’s PBT caps are the better choice. TECKNET’s ABS caps are standard for budget keyboards but may show wear sooner.
Lighting and controls
CORBOBO offers 16.8 million customizable RGB colors with a lower light position design that illuminates PBT keycaps. It uses a web-based driver for remapping and macros, accessible from any device without software installation. TECKNET features 15-zone RGB lighting with seven illumination modes and four brightness levels. It includes 12 dedicated multimedia keys for direct control of play, pause, and skip functions. TECKNET also has an auto-sleep feature to save power. CORBOBO lacks dedicated multimedia keys in its data. TECKNET is better for quick media control, while CORBOBO offers deeper software customization.
