Guiheng 60% vs 68-Key Specs
Key Count and Layout
The Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo features a 61-key layout. This standard 60% design removes the number pad and function row to save desk space. In contrast, the Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard includes 68 keys. It retains the arrow keys and a small cluster of navigation keys above the arrow row. This extra space allows for faster navigation without adding a full number pad. You get more keys with the 68-key model, which helps if you frequently use arrow keys or home/end functions during typing or gaming.
Switch Type
The Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard specifies Red Switches. These are linear mechanical switches that offer a smooth, quiet keystroke with consistent actuation. The product data for the Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo does not list the specific switch type or whether it uses mechanical, membrane, or scissor switches. Without this detail, you cannot confirm if it offers the same tactile feedback or durability as the mechanical 68-key model. The 68-key option provides a clear mechanical advantage for users who prefer tactile input.
Included Accessories
The Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo is sold as a bundle. It includes a matching USB wired mouse with a 3200 DPI optical sensor. This is useful if you need both input devices without buying them separately. The Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard is listed as a keyboard-only unit. It does not include a mouse in the package. If you already own a mouse, the keyboard stands alone. If you need a complete setup, the combo offers more immediate utility with the included peripheral.
Keycap Material
The Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard uses double-shot injection keycaps. This manufacturing method creates durable keycaps where the legends are part of the plastic, preventing them from wearing off over time. The data for the Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo does not specify the keycap material or construction method. You cannot verify if the legends will fade or if the texture matches the durability of the double-shot design. The 68-key model offers a verified build quality advantage for long-term use.
Connectivity and Power
Both products use USB wired connectivity. This ensures a stable connection without the need for batteries or charging. The Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo requires two USB ports, one for the keyboard and one for the mouse. The Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard requires only a single USB port. If your computer has limited USB ports, the single-cable keyboard is more efficient. Both options avoid wireless interference and battery management, making them reliable for consistent use.
Backlighting
Both keyboards feature RGB backlighting. The Guiheng 60% Wired Keyboard & Mouse Combo lists RGB backlit keys for visibility and atmosphere. The Guiheng 68-Key Compact Wired Keyboard specifies RGB LED backlighting. Both provide customizable lighting effects to enhance your setup. The product data does not detail specific lighting zones, brightness levels, or software control for either model. Since both offer RGB illumination, there is no clear difference in this feature based on the available specifications.
